Elevate Pay For Independent Freelancers: Documents and Sign Up Guide

Mesan Ali
If you're a freelancer working independently and not through platforms like Upwork, Deel, or Toptal, you can still receive payments with Elevate Pay. To get started, you’ll need to complete a quick identity and income verification process. This guide explains which documents you need based on your country, so you can set up your account smoothly and without delays.
We’ve outlined the required documents for users in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Egypt below.
Required Documents by Country
Document Type | Pakistan | Bangladesh | Egypt |
Proof of Income | Client contract, invoice, or payment receipt with supporting bank statement. | Client contract, invoice, or payment receipt with supporting bank statement. | Client contract, invoice, or payment receipt with supporting bank statement. |

What Makes a Document Acceptable for Approval?
Make sure you follow these requirements when submitting your documents to set up your Elevate Pay USD account:
Name and address must be clearly visible on the document you provide.
Bank statements must not be older than 90 days.
Avoid using screenshots from mobile or desktop apps — upload the original file or PDF instead.
The bank statement you submit must show that you’ve received the amount stated in the client contract, invoice or payment receipt.
Proof of Income
When you are working as a freelancer outside a freelancer marketplace, solid documentation is required to prove that you are employed. This is why we would recommend that you gather all required documents, like a contract with the client, invoices, receipts, supporting bank statements, or other documents that you think can support your case.
Elevate Pay does not require all these documents. A valid contract along with a payment receipt is usually enough, but it's good to be equipped with all the important documents.
How to Prepare Your Documents
Make sure your documents are easy to review and meet the following guidelines:
Scan or photograph documents clearly (edges visible, no shadows or glare)
Save files in PDF, JPG, or PNG format
Common Mistakes to Avoid
To avoid verification delays, double-check that you are:
Not submitting blurry or cropped images
Using a valid (not expired) ID
Ensuring names match across all documents
