If you’re freelancing on Guru and want to receive payments through Elevate Pay, you’ll need to complete verification first. This step ensures that your account is secure and compliant with financial regulations, so you can withdraw your earnings smoothly.

While Guru manages your projects, agreements, and payouts, Elevate Pay requires a separate document verification process before your account can be activated.

What Do You Need to Provide?

To activate your Elevate Pay account, you’ll need to submit three types of documents:

  1. Proof of Income

  2. Proof of Address

  3. Proof of Identity

  • Upload PDFs or scanned copies — screenshots are not accepted.

  • Your ID must be valid (not expired).

  • Your Guru profile details must match your ID exactly.

What Is “Proof of Income” on Guru?

When you complete work on Guru, you create a work agreement with the client. These agreements outline payment terms, scope of work, and rates — and they serve as your official proof of income for Elevate Pay.

You can download agreements or invoices from your Guru dashboard under the Agreements tab.

Your proof of income should clearly include:

  • Your name

  • Client’s name or company

  • Payment terms or rates

  • Signatures/confirmation

  • Proof of Income: Guru work agreement or invoice (PDF)

Bangladesh

  • Proof of Address: Bank statement or utility bill with your name and address

Egypt

  • Proof of ID: Passport

  • Proof of Income: Guru work agreement or invoice (PDF)

  • Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement with your name and address
