If you’re a translator or freelancer working through ProZ and want to get paid via Elevate Pay, you’ll first need to complete verification. This process ensures that your account is secure and compliant with financial regulations, so you can receive payments without delays.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the documents you need, how to prepare them, and the country-specific requirements. Whether you’re in Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Egypt, this guide will help you complete the process quickly and smoothly.

While ProZ connects you with translation jobs and client contracts, Elevate Pay manages document verification separately. You’ll need to provide certain files before you can activate your Elevate Pay account.

What Do You Need to Provide?

To activate your Elevate Pay account, you’ll need to upload three types of documents:

  1. Proof of Income

  2. Proof of Address

  3. Proof of Identity

The overall requirements are the same everywhere, but the accepted ID types vary by country.

What Makes a Document Acceptable?

For your verification to go smoothly:

  • Your full name and address must be visible.

  • Bank statements or utility bills must be issued within the past 90 days.

  • Upload PDFs or scanned copies — screenshots will not be accepted.

  • Your ID must be valid and unexpired.

  • Your ProZ profile name and ID name must match.

What is “Proof of Income” on ProZ?

When you complete a job on ProZ, you often generate an invoice or project contract with your client. This document confirms the agreement and payment terms, and it serves as your official proof of income for Elevate Pay.

You can download these from your ProZ dashboard under Jobs → My Projects.

Your proof of income should ideally include:

  • Your name

  • Client’s name or company

  • Job or project details

  • Payment terms and rate

Pakistan

  • Proof of ID: Passport or NIC

  • Proof of Income: ProZ contract or invoice (PDF)

  • Proof of Address: Bank statement or utility bill

Bangladesh

  • Proof of ID: Passport, Old NID, or New Smart NID

  • Proof of Income: ProZ contract or invoice (PDF)

  • Proof of Address: Bank statement or utility bill with your name and address

Egypt

  • Proof of ID: Passport

  • Proof of Income: ProZ contract or invoice (PDF)

  • Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement with your name and address
